Amber Coast Events Press Release
21st June 2010 For Immediate release
Amber Coast Events cic are today, regrettably, announcing that the Amber Coast
Festival, which was planned for August Bank Holiday 2010 at Dawlish Warren, has been
cancelled.
This is, in the main, due to being unable to secure the sponsors at this late stage of
planning for the event. The licence meeting was due to be held on Tuesday 22nd June at
Forde House. We have also taken into account the concerns of the local camp sites about
the lack of accommodation for that particular weekend. We will, therefore, not be
proceeding with our licence application.
The Amber Coast Events team are very disappointed with this unfortunate news but
could not continue with the event without secure financial backing.
The directors have jointly stated “this was a big blow to our planning and without this
financial backing we could not commit to the expenditure that is required for an event of
this size. We could have tried to continue but we would probably have ended up with a
very large empty field and a lot of very disappointed people waiting at the gates. We are
all very upset by this cancellation. All advance ticket sales will be fully refunded.”
It is with great regret that Mr Adam Dimond, Mr Derek Collins & Mrs Sharon Collins
have decided to leave the Board of Directors of Amber Coast Events cic due to personal
reasons.
